With the new Cleanplus, Pflitsch is expanding its hygienic design portfolio with an innovative cable gland that enables easy assembly and optimal handling with fewer individual parts and larger sealing areas per connection thread. This makes it the first cable gland to be certified according to the stricter EHEDG guidelines.

Once again, Pflitsch has broken new ground to meet the strict EHEDG requirements: The new, certified Hygienic Design cable gland PFLITSCH Cleanplus impresses with its smooth stainless steel look and can be perfectly cleaned with its EHEDG-compliant design.

At the product launch, the Cleanplus is available in the five common sizes M12 to M32. This allows cable diameters from 4.0 to 23.0 mm to be reliably sealed. The sealing inserts made of HTS silicone have anti-twist protection so that the cable remains securely in position when the pressure screw is tightened. The Cleanplus also scores points with a wide temperature range from -55 °C to +180 °C, meaning it can be used in all areas of food, beverage and pharmaceutical production.

The compact Cleanplus made of stainless steel impresses with its smooth surfaces and rounded wrench surfaces. It was designed so that no gaps form or threads are exposed during assembly. The maximum gap dimensions of +/-0.2 mm currently required by the EHEDG are adhered to. This ensures that dirt particles are avoided and perfect cleaning is possible.

For sealing inserts, Pflitsch uses an Ecolab-certified silicone material in accordance with FDA 21 CFR §177.2600, which is approved for contact with food. Technical features include the high protection classes IP 68 and IP 69, the cable-friendly sealing thanks to the large sealing insert and the high strain relief, which prevents the cable from slipping out of the cable gland.
