Version update with new features and device options
The TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer from Beckhoff is a powerful tool for optimally designing Beckhoff drive technology to meet individual requirements. The latest update now provides even more functions and device options.
Drive design, particularly the dimensioning of drive axes, combined with the optimal selection of motors, gearboxes, drive controllers, and accessories, is the basis for efficient machine design. The TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer design tool, designed for this purpose, is either integrated into the TwinCAT automation platform or can be used as a standalone project planning tool for drive design.
The update enables the following new functions:
- File import for linear and rotary motors including motor inertia compensation,
- Triangular load case for linear applications,
- Using variables for quick and easy parameter changes.
Furthermore, other Beckhoff products are integrated into the TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer. From the AMP8000 decentralized servo drive system, these include the AMP8620 power supply module and the AMP8805 distribution module with their extended voltage ranges. The AX8128 single-axis module and the AX8820 universal regenerative power supply are also integrated.
