Very useful features

Slewing bearings with rollers as rolling elements have been used for years in a range of applications such as rotary tables for machining centers, joints for industrial robots and reduction gears. Recently, however, there have been demands for more efficient slewing bearings to meet the increased requirements. In response, THK is introducing the new BWH high-speed ball bearing, setting new standards for a high-performance, highly rigid double-row angular contact ball bearing.

High-speed ball bearing

By using a cage in the BWH angular contact ball bearing, the balls run evenly aligned. In addition to better running properties at high speeds, the ball bearing offers stable and smooth movement with less heat generation compared to roller bearings. Its double-row configuration enables an even distribution of radial and axial loads, which increases the load capacity and extends the service life of the machine.

Simple assembly

As the bearing is supplied from the factory with an appropriate preload, it is not necessary to adjust the preload.  In addition, the mounting holes on the inner and outer ring of the bearing enable simple mounting without special retaining plates.

The BWH series currently comprises sizes with inner diameters of 100, 120 and 200 mm, with plans to add models with larger diameters in the near future.
