Weatherproof and robust

With the robust, weather-resistant plastic housings of the Arca IEC, MCE65, MNX and Solid series, Fibox has ideal housing solutions for solar energy in its portfolio.

The wall-mounted control cabinets and housings made of polycarbonate have an impact resistance of up to IK10, which exceeds the robustness of conventional metal and fiberglass housings. The particularly lightweight housing material is easy to transport and work with. It can withstand both cold and glowing heat. In addition, the non-conductive, rust-proof and thermally hardened plastic has excellent UV resistance. The housings can withstand accelerated aging tests of over 5,000 hours without blooming.

The signal-permeable material is ideal for radio-based transmission technology and saves the use of external antennas. All housings are UL certified and glow wire tested in accordance with IEC 60695. Foamed-in PUR seals ensure high protection classes of up to IP66/67. ARCA IEC enclosures are ideal for installing critical inverter and distribution components. MCE65 enclosures are ideal for DIN rail mounting of circuit breakers, lightning protection and monitoring components, for example.

The MNX series for inverter boxes, junction boxes and tracking systems, available in over 260 variants, protects electrical and electronic components even in very harsh environments. For generator connection, inverter and junction boxes in PV and solar thermal systems, Fibox recommends its Solid series, whose enclosure thickness can be increased using extension frames without reducing the UL, IP and IK classifications. In addition, the Fibox range includes industry-proven accessories for cable management, enclosure ventilation and air circulation, as well as customer-specific services for labeling, marking and enclosure equipment with FIBOX components such as cable glands, DIN rails, mounting plates, spacers and vents.
