Joints
Working ergonomically
New to Norelem's range are friction joints in various designs. These elements can be used to set up individual swivel arm systems at assembly and industrial workplaces. Combined in different ways, there are a wide range of options for ergonomically adapting tools and work materials to the respective working postures or body sizes.
Norelem offers the friction joints as single joints, double joints or as connecting friction joints. The joints are characterized by a fixed friction torque that is available in six increments from 0.5 to 15 Nm. Friction joints with different friction torques can be combined with one another to optimally adjust the swivel arm to the workplace.
Innovative clamping technology
The range also includes versions with freely adjustable friction torque. Here, the friction can be adjusted almost continuously from light to heavy using an adjusting screw, as required by the application. Thanks to the innovative clamping technology, the friction can be adjusted precisely and remains constant over a long service life. Even very long and heavily loaded swivel arms can be held permanently in the desired position with a fixed torque of up to 15 Nm.
Easy installation
The friction joints are available for the common aluminum profiles Type I and Type B in grid dimensions of 40 and 45 mm. The friction joints can be attached lengthways, crossways or to the front of the profile. The sets contain the mounting material for both side mounting with slot nuts for profile groove 8 or 10 and for front mounting on a profile piece with core hole M8. When mounting on flat surfaces, the supplied groove fixing plates are simply omitted. The mounting holes of the friction joints are closed with cover caps after assembly.
